BE PROUD OF YOUR OWN BRAND
Logo serves the purpose to identify. It is the embodiment of clients’ perception and relation. Make your stakeholders and clients love to be associated with you.
A logo design is much more than just a simple icon paired with a name wording. It should be the key anchor to any marketing and branding activities throughout the whole time any business is in operation. A logo functions not to show the product or service being sold, but to serve as an identity of reputation or good feeling every time your customer or potential customer interacts with the brand. A logo, as important as the brand itself, should last for years to come.
READY FOR YOUR BRAND EXPANSION
By this time, you should have known a lot about your own brand. Its strength, its weakness, its potential, its competitors, its fans and followers, and everything in between. You also have to know the direction to go with this brand. It’s good to start building a structural foundation and with it, you’re clarifying the brand’s function and set for expansion. Here’s a basic brand architecture that you might want to follow:
Although a logo is the simplest form of design and usually the smallest in any marketing collateral, the importance of it makes developing a logo one of the longest and most meticulous processes. After all, it should serve a purpose and it should last as long as possible.
Begin by understanding the client’s business, values, and target audience and discuss the client’s vision, preferences, and any specific requirements for the logo.
Begin sketching preliminary ideas either on paper or digitally. This phase is dedicated to creative exploration, experimenting with different shapes, typography, and visual elements.
Create clean and scalable versions of the sketches and experiment with color palettes and typography to bring the ideas to life.
Share your initial logo designs with the client, gather feedback, iterate on the design based on their input, and ensure its adaptability across different sizes and contexts, from business cards to billboards.
Upon client approval, finalize the design, generate multiple file formats for scalability and usage, create a logo usage guide specifying colors and fonts, and ensure the client receives all necessary files for seamless implementation of their new branding.
A lot of business owners overlook the importance of trademarking their brand. Yes, your company may be registered under SSM, but your brand should be registered too under MyIPO. Until then, you can’t really claim that your brand name and logo are rightfully yours.
